Master’s Degree in Women’s Health
The Master’s of Midwifery is a post-licensure, advanced program that expands the scope of practice beyond the perinatal period into the full spectrum of sexual and reproductive health. The program prepares midwives to offer advanced, evidence-based, and compassionate care from menstruation through menopause, including fertility support, reproductive health, and integrative approaches to well-being.
The Master’s of Midwifery is a self-paced, non-semester program. Upon enrollment, students receive access to the complete library of advanced didactic courses. While participants may explore theoretical content according to their interests and availability, some courses require specific prerequisites. For example, completion of Foundations of Midwifery Care is necessary before undertaking advanced modules in Fertility, Gynecology, or Menopause.
The clinical placement component of the program builds upon core midwifery training and is organized in progressive tiers of responsibility, assuring readiness before assuming advanced scope practice. Clinical opportunities include women’s health clinics, fertility and reproductive health centers, and integrative practices. Students may complete placements at our established partner sites or propose options that align with their learning goals.
